The first Cross Country Meets for Elementary and Middle School were held yesterday. Natoaganeg School had several students competing and had terrific results. In Elementary, mariah finished second in her division, while Fith came in 5th and Racheal 8th. Xavier  finished 8th in his division. Also having strong races were Gianna,Cameron,Hunter and Preston.In Middle School races, Eric finished second in his division and Janessa finished 10th in her division.The next elementary meet will be next Wednesday in Sunny Corner.

Natoaganeg Eagles hosted their first game of the season at our new soccer field. In a close game. Harkins nipped the Eagles 4-3. It was a great game for both players and fans who cheered on both teams. The Eagles play again Thursday in Millerton.

  As a way of recognizing the former First Nation students who attended residential school, the losses they experienced and the impacts that the residential schools had on their lives, Anglophone North will celebrate Orange Shirt Day on Wednesday, September 30th .  Students and staff are invited to don an orange shirt as a sign of their commitment that every child matters.  Stay tuned for events that schools will do to mark this important day.  Please follow the link to watch a short video explaining the significance of Orange Shirt Day. ht

Just a few notes for parents:Friday, September 18th, the Grades K to Grade 4 will be going to McAllister's Farm  for apple pickingTuesday, September 22nd,Natoaganeg School will be hosting the first soccer game of the season against HarkinsFriday, September 25th, will be a half day and that morning will be our Fall FairMonday, September 28th, there will be no school for students as teachers will be in a training session all dayWednesday, September 30th, students and staff will take part in the Residential School Walk in our community.Please wear Orange in support of those who suffered.

Sign up sheets are up in the gym for soccer for Grades 3-5. The first practice will be held Thursday, September 17th after school. The coach will be Mrs. Dunnett and she looks forward to kicking off the season with a home game next Tuesday against Harkins. Come cheer on the Eagles!
